Sydney Ferry Passenger Count Surveyor

Summary - TTM will be conducting passenger load surveys for Sydney Ferries Corp. for one week during the end of November (22nd til 28th) this year. We will be conducting the survey again in May and November next year so candidates who work this time around will be the first called for the next scheduled surveys.



Description - This job consists of boarding a ferry at Circular Quay or Balmain and counting the amount of passengers entering and exiting the ferry at each stop along its route for several hours each day. Staff will be provided with all necessary equipment including a safety vest, clicker counter and clipboard for the data collection.



Hours - Shifts vary from roughly 6 hours per day to 12 hours per day depending on personal availability and transport requirements. Early shifts will start at approximately 5:30am and late shifts will run til approximately 1am at night.


We will also be conducting an obligatory briefing the week before the survey starts so we would require roughly an hour to complete that.



Requirements -

*Availability for the full 7 days

*Own means of arriving at survey locations (Train, Car, Bus, etc)

*Fluent English speaker

*Access to closed footwear

*Does not mind early starts or late nights if required.


Pay -

$18.15 p/h for weekdays

$20.00 p/h for weekends
