Senior Engineering consultant
Responsible for providing technical support and consultancy to Customers to assure the safety and practical use of facility and equipment including managing the Asset Integrity Management, developing RBI (Risk Based Inspection) program and inspection manual/procedures.
Ensuring that technical integrity of static equipment is managed properly in accordance with company and common industry standards, codes and government regulations.
Review pre-inspection workscope to meet requirements of the Written Scheme of Examination, review report and create Repair Orders
Update the Written Scheme of Examination based on the results.
Review, approve and update nominated Technical Integrity Assurance Procedures
Responsible to contribute to the Clients Corrosion Management System, it's maintenance, update and execution of corrosion control strategies set out therein
Carry out failure investigation & defect assessment by way of metallurgical analysis for structural, pressure systems & pipelines equipment failures involving corrosion, vibration, impact, stress manufacturing and over-pressure failure modes.
To provide engineering support and guidance to ensure that all static equipment is properly managed and comply with all relevant standards
Perform equipment trouble shooting facility operation in liaises with site engineer and to overcome field problem.
Provide engineering support for maintaining higher reliability of production equipment
Perform and assist other engineer to do risk assessment analysis as required by field and develop the equipment strategy to all static equipment
Develop QA/QC acceptance criteria in accordance with applicable code/standard, Company’s specification and government regulation.
Inspect for any deviation and take necessary corrective action in term of repair recommendation, modification and record/file properly
Review engineering package for compliance of code/standard and government regulation.
Assess current operating condition of all stationary equipment versus design condition, perform calculation and look for possible improvement
Identify potential application of new technology to the existing plant facilities to improve plant equipment reliability and operability and anticipate for future operation strategy
Set up inspection management system for all plant equipment / facilities.
Qualification/Experience requirements/Personal attributes
This position would suit personnel looking for a lifestyle change who are well qualified and self motivated. The work will come in short term contracts and working away from home for short periods of time.
The minimum requirement for this position is a recognized Metallurgy or Mechanical Corrosion, Materials Engineering Degree (or similar), with Chartered status (or working towards it).
Minimum 10 years experiences in the Oil and Gas industry.
Familiar with the relevant API, ASME, AWS, NACE, BS and AUS NZ other related standards
Experience in Process / Petrochemicals Industry & / or onshore / offshore oil & gas is preferable. Relevant experience could include pressure vessel design, integrity and performance analysis and experience of managing a corrosion control system, NDT methods and Inspection management.
Have specific experience in facility engineering, risk assessment and Asset Integrity Management.
Good understanding and know how of welding, corrosion, inspection and NDT technology
Strong computer literate
Fluent in English both writing and speaking
