Our client is one of Ireland’s largest financial institutions with a presence across a range of financial services markets. An opportunity has now arisen for a .Net Business Analyst to join their dynamic IT team within their life insurance focused wholly owned subsidiary. The role will be primarily responsible for maintaining our clients life insurance subsidiary using the .Net platform and assisting in the strategic innovation of their life insurance products, whilst, ensuring that their subsidiary is seen as a leading edge provider by their clients and the marketplace. The successful candidate will report to the head of group IT and the head of systems Innovation.
Principal Functions and Responsibilities of the role include:
* Evaluate the current software opportunities for their life insurance subsidiary and assist in the rolling out any strategic change.
* Implement any strategic change or modification to the .Net platform for both web and CLOAS.
* Develop the Smart Sourcing agenda within the subsidiary.
* Communicate with the Actuarial Team in order to develop reports and produce the relevant life insurance data.
* Develop the Business Intelligence (BI) platform to our existing clients and roll this out within the subsidiary.
* Ensure that the life insurance subsidiary is close to market developments in IT and manage the application of these within the subsidiary.
Requirements:
1- You must be a solid Business Analyst and strong putting together IT Functional Specifications. 2- Detailed knowledge of Mainframe systems is a must. Any exposure to CLOAS is highly advantageous.
3- An understanding of Life Assurance sector would be extremely desirable.
4- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritise own workload to ensure upkeep of our clients subsidiary.
5- A relevant IT background and a strong understanding of the IT market (a relevant qualification is preferable).
6- In-depth Microsoft SQL Server (Reporting and OLAP) skills.
7- In-depth MS Excel skills.
