IT NETWORK ENGINEER / PC TECHNICIAN

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Sydney's Sutherland Shire’s leading computer retailers as an in-house / on-site Technician.

This exciting position requires you to maintain and develop new and existing networks as well as have the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of related issues.

The role also includes a position in our well equipped service department and duties include the ability to diagnose and repair a computer system unsupervised, perform PC upgrades and provide unparalleled customer service.

Applicant must have strong customer service and excellent communication skills. This is a very rewarding and self satisfying position with a great working environment as you’ll be part of a successful team of people.

You will need to have knowledge of various software packages including operating systems, applications, anti-virus, as well as being conversant in all types of hardware and peripherals. You also need a strong emphasis in customer service both on the phone and face to face and have the ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003 server
• Good working knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies
• Remote user and site to site VPN's
• A sound understanding of information technology including Windows operating systems, server hardware, backup and archiving, email systems, file storage and security
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong interpersonal skills, having the ability to build relationships with diverse range of people
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Must possess the ability to work alone or as a member of a team
• Attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
