Healthy Volunteers Required for Vaccine Study
Background
Ross River Virus (RRV) disease is spread by mosquitos and can cause joint pain, stiffness, swelling, arthritis, fever, rash and fatigue. RRV disease occurs mainly in Australia and the Pacific region, and no publicly available vaccine currently exists. Q-Pharm is conducting this healthy volunteer study to test the vaccine in a larger number of people.
Benefits to Participation
Participants will be paid for their time in the study, and reimbursed for travel expenses.
Participants’ current state of health will be assessed and monitored by qualified health professionals.
Participants will be helping to advance medical research.
Who Can Participate?
Males and Females aged 18 or older whom are generally healthy
Are able to attend six visits to Q-Pharm over 12 months
Participants must not have significant asthma
Participants must not have elevated blood pressure (160+ systolic or 100+ diastolic)
Participants must not have large tattoos or skin conditions on both upper arms (one is okay)
