A&E Middle Grade - UK

Medacs Healthcare is working with a NHS seeking to recruit a Trust Registrar in Accident & Emergency.

This post is for a Trust Registrar in the A&E Department at the Hospital. This post will comprise of 10 sessions of direct clinical care and be part of the Middle Grade rota.

The Accident and Emergency Department is a purpose-built unit with well equipped 5 bay Resuscitation Room, a newly refurbished 8-bay (2 enclosed) trolley Majors area, a 4 bed Observation Bay, a 4 bay minors area, 2 Paediatric cubicles, an operating theatre and 2 integral x-ray rooms which provides a 24 hour service.
The Trust treats over 260,000 patients a year including more that 80,000 unscheduled attendances – 39,000 in and day case patients and 167,000 outpatients. It employs 2,300 staff, with 280 doctors, 800 nurses and midwives as well as therapists, scientific and technical and support staff. The Trust has 20 wards comprising general and specialist surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics, oncology, orthopaedics, general and specialist medicine, intensive care and coronary care, with 511 beds in total.
